Sustainability report: fresh ideas and good prospects for the future

Here is a first look at the highlights of the new commitment:

Focus on climate protection

Production has been specifically designed to be more environmentally friendly: LED lighting in semi-finished parts production ensures energy savings, while an environmentally conscious pickling process has been switched to a local electrolytic process - reducing hazardous substances and waste water. Photovoltaic systems on the halls already supply 36% of the electricity requirements and produce 160 MWh of green electricity annually - a significant step towards climate neutrality.

Efficiency, resources and innovation

New technologies such as an automated longitudinal seam grinding machine and a modern welding gas mixing system ensure more efficient production with less dust, noise and gas consumption. LEAN methods also improve the flow of materials and shorten transportation routes. Regular 5S audits improve safety and well-being in the workplace.

Motivating and empowering employees

At Müller DrumTec, the focus is on people. New recreation rooms such as the “Werkcafe” and “Waldblick” offer a pleasant retreat with free hot drinks. The digital employee portal “Loga3” provides paperless access to documents at any time. In addition, the number of trainees is being increased in order to promote fresh young talent. Through management seminars and regular feedback sessions, the company promotes strong employee loyalty - which has a positive impact on staff turnover, absenteeism and productivity.
